The version prematurely leaked contains a “curious addition” per Politico.eu, a “free flow of data initiative”, which sounds like a watering- down of data protection. DSM is one of the ten priorities in the Commission’s Work Programme for the 12 months ahead. First some agreement on the EU’s data protection regulation is needed, as suggested by Euractiv on 18 March, then the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) could best be addressed.
